Carly Hand - Customer Success at DQPro

10 Questions with Carly Hand

Our Customer Success champion, Carly Hand, has only been with DQPro for five months but she has already been a big hit with our customers. We sat down recently with Carly to chat about her role, what’s on her wish list at DQPro as well as a few other snippets about our CS superstar.

  1. What drew you to DQPro?

A great product and a small team of highly intelligent and supportive people.

  1. What’s the focus of your Customer Success role? What does a typical day look like?

My focus is to have expert-level product knowledge and to really understand our customers’ businesses so that I can add value by helping them to get the most out of DQPro in a way that works for them…and to have some fun along the way.

I haven’t had a ‘typical’ day yet, every day is different….ask me again when I’ve been here for a while.

  1. What is your favourite and least favourite thing about working from home?

No commute time is my favourite thing – I have three hours of my day back and I actually love working from home. Having said that, having to make my own lunch rather than popping out of the office to grab something is not always fun – I do miss the food choice in London.

  1. What apps do you most need for work?

MS Teams, Outlook, Freshdesk, Timetastic and WhatsApp. Oh…and sometimes a Plank Workout app!

  1. What’s your 15mins of fame?

I foolishly thought a few years ago that everyone should – at least once in their life – complete a big challenge…run a marathon, swim the channel, that type of thing. Long story short, I completed a 100km non-stop walk from London to Brighton in just over 29 hours – needless to say, I’m well and truly over that urge now!

  1. How would you describe the DQPro team?

Small, but mighty. DQPro is made up of different characters, who each bring a different skill and perspective. They’re a group of extremely knowledgeable people within their fields, who are genuinely supportive and who work very well together as a team.

  1. What is your motto or personal mantra?

I don’t have a motto or personal mantra, so I asked my husband if there’s anything I often say and apparently it’s “You can never have too much sauce” (I hate dry food).

  1. What’s on your wish list at DQPro?

That’s an easy one for me – a CRM (customer relationship management) tool and I’m working on it! I’d also add that we’re working to provide a fully managed, API-enabled SaaS (software as a service) offering which is really exciting!

  1. Who is your perfect dinner date and why?

Oooh, apart from my husband? No such thing as perfect but if they love food, don’t take themselves too seriously, enjoy a good laugh, and don’t mind me stealing a bite of their food (I always get food envy of other people’s food choices), then I’d be more than happy with that.

  1. An interesting fact about yourself?

I am the reigning champion (and have been for the last few years I might add) of my family’s annual crazy golf tournament – ‘The Hanser Cup’ – not quite pro standard, granted, but…!
